What better way to promote your business or company than advertising. Traditional print advertising is expensive. Many businesses are looking to the Internet to advertise. And why not? Estimates currently place the number of Internet users at 107 million. By 2004, it is expected that there will be an addition 103 million new online users in the U.S. alone. (Source: Nua Internet Surveys) While Internet advertising is not maybe as pricey, many Search Engines charge prices that are are out of the advertising budget of many smaller companies. Collector Link combines affordability in advertising along with a lot of exposure. Advertisements will be visible throughout Collector Link, but discreet enough to be viewed but not get in the way. They will be in the form of a banner ad that is hotlinked and will go to a web page for more information.

And best of all, since Collector Link is a specialized search engine, your ad is only going out to folks who are interested in the hobby! Since our first hit in November 1995, we have been serving up information to collectors at an ever accelerating rate. In our first year, we had over 1.2 million hits and as can be seen on the graph at the right, we expect have close to 8 million hits by the end of 2000. Hits are one thing but real information is another. At Collector Link, we have had over 1 million searches conducted - each one returning 20 or more web listings. And sponsors who were with us in the first three months of 2000 have had their banner ad displayed over 6,000 times. That works out to less than a penny per display. And it must be working because at least one of sponsors have been with us since that first day in 1995.

How it works:
Here's how the advertising on Collector Link works. There are two banners on each page served up by Collector Link -- one at the top of the page and one at the bottom of the page. Every time any page is loaded two of the Sponsor's Banners are selected at random and displayed. You'll see a banner ad at the top and bottom of this page.

Our plan is to never sell more than 48 banners so the odds are that your banner will be displayed on average for one hour per day. If there are fewer than 48 sponsors, then your page gets selected more often and is displayed more. And your banner is just as apt to be display in prime time as anyone else's.

The monthly rate for one banner space is $19.95 Billing is done on a monthly basis. Credit cards accepted.

Set-Up Fee:
A One time charge of $19.95 is accessed to set up the account. This includes the following:

1. Creation of your banner ad. This is the ad that will be displayed at the top of the page for everyone to see. If you have a logo, we can incorporate that into the ad. Otherwise, we can design something ourselves.
2. Free web page. If you already have a web page created elsewhere, the banner ad can be linked directly to that page. However, if you have not put your business on the web, we will create and maintain a one page web site for you as long as you advertise at Collector Link. This page will include more detailed information about your business, e-mail / phone / fax / mailing address will be listed, a description of what you sell. We will work with you to make this page exactly how you want it.
